A double-trigger perforation technique in extra-long horizontal wells
To achieve maximum productivity from 6,500-ft-long horizontal wells, production from all perforated intervals is crucial. The success of the stimulation depends on opening the toe of the well before bullheading emulsified acid. The toe and heel were successively perforated in one tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP) run. The double-trigger perforation technique called for shooting the lower perforations in acid and then squeezing this in-place add at a high pumping rate.
