Using the Marcus inverted region for rectification in donor-bridge-acceptor "wire" assemblies
We examine the properties of a system in which a hopping mechanism can exploit the nuclear factors, along with the field resulting from the applied voltage, to control the current through a donor-bridge-acceptor (D-B-A) system inserted between two metal electrodes. We find that, by utilizing D/A couples with small lambda values, switching can be achieved at modest applied potentials.
