To understand the strategic evolution process of the PET preparation & application technology of Korea, it is important to examine quantitatively the technical output (patent) as a whole, since this output is closely related and have influenced each other throughout their development. Specially, for the comparative & positioning analysis of the Korean S&T level of the preparation of PET chip and film, the research term of this study is generally carried out from 1963 to 2002. Distinction of the two time periods was made on the starting point of 1990, this gives remarkable change of two periods. Also there appeared a surge of substantial strategic Changes from 1990 year in the technical development of the Korean PET preparation.
