According to international expert estimations, crude oil reserves are very limited. For this reason, the search for industrial methods and solutions that allow increasing the yield of fuel-oil cuts in existing classic oil refining processes is very attractive. Nontraditional methods of refining heavyfeedstock are usually included in such directions. Data on fundamental and applied research concerning the characteristics of modification of atmospheric resid with ozone are reported.
