Vibration Dewatering
Vibration screens can be found in all types of industry such as mining, processing and recycling, soil decontamination and the chemical industry. In addition to dewatering, the vibration screens can be combined with other process functions, such as screening, drying and cooling. The screens are identified by a high throughput with low working costs and low technical construction effort. The lack of a physical theory of dewatering often leads to difficulties in the design and operation of vibration sieves. This paper describes vibration dewatering on the basis of a physical model. In addition to the capillary, friction and acceleration forces, the inertia of the accelerated liquid and the dripping of drops out of the bulk or screen are especially important. The paper illustrates the whole problem of vibration dewatering further than the mathematical and physical details.
