Generalized mathematical modeling of Fluid-Solid Non-Catalytic reactions using finite volume method: Multiple reactions
Multiple Fluid Solid Non-Catalytic (FSNC) reactions have been analyzed in a single particle based on sharp interface model (SIM) using Finite Volume Method (FVM), which is shown to be a suitable technique for solving moving boundary problems involving multiple chemical reactions and diffusion. The effect of various model parameters, like the order of reaction, Thiele modulus, thermicity and Arrhenius parameters, c(20)/c(10), are found to have significant effects on independent, parallel and consecutive reactions.
