Influence of different admixtures on the crystallization of calcium sulfate crystals
In the present study several defoaming agents were investigated in a batch-crystallizer with respect to their effectiveness on habit modification and filterability of gypsum crystals. The application of some agents in an horizontal tube falling film evaporator is discussed. Furthermore, the recrystallization kinetics of gypsum to anhydrite in the presence of sodium chloride at 95 degrees C are presented.
