High gas-sensitivity and selectivity of fluorinated zinc phthalocyanine film to some non-oxidizing gases at room temperature
The gas-sensitivities of zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc) and its fluorinated derivative (zinc hexadecafluorophthalocyanine-ZnF16PC) films to a series of reducing gases at room temperature are studied. The results indicate that the gas-sensitivities and the response rates of ZnPc film to ammonia, trimethylamine and methylamine can be improved significantly via fluorination. In a concentration range of 0.5-1 ppm (3.66 x 10(-8)-7.13 x 10(-7) mol/mL), the gas-sensitivities to ammonia, methylamine and trimethylantine can reach 2-4 orders, respectively. The ZnF16PC film has a good selectivity and stability, and it can be completely recovered by high-purity N-2 at room temperature. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
