Three cinnamoyl chalcones and two difurans are synthezised and their thermal diffusivities at room temperature are measured using photoacoustic (PA) technique. Thermal diffusivity is found to vary with the number of methoxy groups conjugated. (C) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
