Nonlinear Observers for Chemical Reactors
This paper describes an application of estimation theory to nonlinear chemical processes. It is shown how concentrations of components for some classes of reactions occurring in a jacketed reactor can be estimated from temperature measurements only. We investigate some reactions of the type X --> X’ and X --> X’ --> X" in the continuous case to exemplify observer utility.
