Estimation of Kinetic-Parameters from Non-Isothermally Operated Monolithic Reactors - Oxidation of Carbon-Monoxide
An integral method for the analysis of non-isothermal data from a monolithic reactor for CO oxidation is presented. A one-dimensional heterogeneous model with a Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic expression was used to describe the reactor. Kinetic parameters for the monolithic catalyst were estimated with a good accuracy. They are in a fairly good agreement with literature data. Temperature profiles and conversions calculated based on these estimates are dose to the experimental values. The method presented is suitable for kinetic studies of reactors in which even steep temperature gradients are present.
