3-Phase-Biofluidization - Application of 3-Phase Fluidization in the Biotechnology - A Review
The application of the three-phase fluidized beds and airlift suspension reactors for aerobic and anaerobic waste-water treatment, as well as for the cultivation of immobilized and pellet-forming microorganisms, animal and plant cells are presented. The properties of the biofilms attached to a carrier and the pellets or granulated sludges and the hydrodynamic of the three-phase systems are discussed.
