Effect of pH on Dispersion Stability of ITO Nanoparticles in Solution and Its Application forConductive PET Film
E-mail:
A study of conductive PET films obtained using wet-coating was performed. Poly(vinyl) copolymer was used as a carrier to immobilize ITO onto the PET film. The dispersion stability was best at pH 11 and worst at pH 6. The higher the dispersion stability, the higher the conductivity of the ITO film. The conductivities of the ITO film at pH 11 and 6 were 5.5×10-6 and 0.52×10-6 S/cm, respectively. The concentration of the poly(vinyl) copolymer, the coating speed, and the coating thickness were also main parameters modified to obtain higher-conductivity PET films by wet-coating. The relationship between the conductivity (Y) and the solid weight (X) is given by the following equation: Y=14.45X2-29.07X+17.63
