Mechanical Properties and Biodegradation Study on Blends of PLA and Chemically Modified Plasticized Starch
Poly (lactic acid) (PLA) has been blended with chemically modified plasticized starch(CMPS). The characteristic properties of blends were examined by observing the thermal properties of the blends. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) The crystallinity of PLA in blend was changed by addition of the CMPS. Biodegradability of the blends increased with increasing CMPS contents.
