Xylene groups을 포함한 Cabvitand의 합성과 Alkali금속 결합
Synthesis and Alkali Metal Binding Study of Tetrakis (xylene)cavitand
Tetra(hydroxy)cavitand was synthesized from the tetrakis(bromomethyl)resorcin[4]-arene. Tetrakis(xylene)cavitand bearing xylene groups has been synthesized from tetrakis(hydroxy)cavitand and their ion-binding properties have been investigated. Alkali metal cations showed significantly selective binding affinity toward Rb+. But no complexation evidence was observed for other Alkali metal cations. Alkaine earth metal cations showed unusual selectivity for Sr++
