Invariant energy release from A1/polyimide LB film/Au and diffusion electron in the LB film
Samples of Al/polyimide Langmuir-Blodgett(PI LB) films/Au deposited on a glass substrate (1/4 the size of the microscope slide glass) have continuously released electrical energy without any excitatory operations of other sources. The time dependence of the voltage generated from the Al/PI LB films/Au was measured. The generated voltage was continued for about more than 2 years. The combustion embalpy of polyimide was theoretically calculated. It is clear that the invariant release energy from Al/PI LB films/Au is more than the combustion enthalpy of polyimide. The invariant release energy is generated by the diffusion of electrons in PI LB films. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
