The distribution and composition of low-molecular-weight heteroatomic components in West Siberian crudes with different resin and asphaltene contents were investigated. Resinous crudes contain more low-molecular-weight sulfur and nitrogen compounds than low-resin crudes. The qualitative composition of these compounds is not a function of the resin content of the crudes. Differences were also observed in the distribution of the individual structures.
