SOFC test using Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-delta as cathode on La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O2.85 electrolyte
An intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell based on perovskite-type materials was tested. La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O2.85 (LSGM) was used as electrolyte, Ba0.5Sr0.5C00.8Fe0.2O3-delta (BSCF) as cathode and La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-delta (LSCM) as anode material. The maximum power density value of the BSCF/LSGM/LSCM cell with 1.5 mm thick electrolyte was 160 mW cm(-2) at 1073 K, using moistened H-2 diluted with N-2 as fuel and air as oxidant.
