The red mud is industrial wastes which are generated by separation process of aluminum hydroxide from bauxide. Although the red mud is industrial by-product, it is used good material various industrial fields because it has a lot of useful inorganic ingredients such as Fe2O3, TiO2 and SiO2. In this study, various red mud carriers are prepared using red mud and poly vinyl alcohol(PVA) as a binder for sustained delivery of agrichemical and characterized by scanning electro microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction. The agrichemical release tests revealed that the red mud carrier containing PVA showed in the enhanced sustained release patterns because of PVA was acting as diffusion barriers. Therefore, the introduction of red mud carriers might be a potential approaches to agriculture field.
