Biomass 흡착제에 의한 Phenol 액상흡착
Adsorption of Phenol by Biomass Adsorbent
The apple-seed was used as a raw material for the production of activated carbon. Preparation process involves the roasting of raw material and carbonization of roasted material followed by chemical activation. Chemical activation was carried out by using KOH as an activation agent. N2-BET surface areas of activated apple char prepared by chemical activation were measured as about 0.16~3.24m2/g. The adsorbate transmittance of phenol was determined UV absorption at 268nm as maximum adsorption wavelength using UV spectrophotometer. Removal of phenol in solution by activated carbon was carried out and structural change of pore surface was observed by SEM.
