Manipulation of selective cell adhesion and spreading on the polymer surface through ion implantation
Positive helium ions with an energy level of 150 keV were implanted into the surface of PTFE film. The surface property of the implanted film was characterized by using SEM, contact angle meter, and XPS. These results showed that the surface property strongly depended on the implantation condition. Cells were found to be preferentially proliferated on the implanted area of PTFE film.
