Investigation on the uniaxial creep responses of paper materials
Likewise the uniaxial tensile creep behavior of the paper materials is important, the uniaxial compressive creep response is crucial for building a resonable and optimum paper structure modeling. Uniaxial tensile test is easy to perform. However, uniaxial compression test seems much more difficult to perform than tensile test. This research focuses on the feasibilities of using aluminum honeycomb as a lateral support in the uniaxial compressive creep test. Influence of initial compressive stresses on compressive creep will be investigated and discussed. Microscopic observation on the stressed region within a test specimen will be carried out. Master creep curves will be drawn and analyzed accordingly.
