A recent publication described the synthesis and characterization of monopotassium phthalocyanine, KPc. A reevaluation of the original EPR, magnetic susceptibility, and X-ray diffraction data, along with a comparison to the powder diffraction pattern of an authentic sample of Na2Pc, indicates that the material was actually Na2Pc.
