Exact computation of the triply periodic G ('Gyroid') minimal surface
Parametrization of the G triply periodic minimal surface, found in many physical, chemical and biological systems, has allowed us to calculate its coordinates analytically, and fully to describe its properties, such as the surface-to-volume ratio. Real structures may now be quantitatively compared with the precise coordinates and quantified in terms of the surface parameters.
