Flame synthesis of substrate-supported metal-catalyzed carbon nanotubes
The successful synthesis of carbon nanotubes within a flame environment using metal nanoparticles supported on TiO2. The nanotube structures reflect the metal catalyst particle shape. The name environment, furnishing molecular and atomic radical species allows stabilization of chevron, stack-of-cards and accordion basal layer plane arrangements.
