gamma-encoding transform NMR for uniaxially oriented samples
A new transformation for the free-induction decay of uniaxially oriented material is proposed; it eliminates the line broadening due to the distribution of the Euler angle gamma around the symmetry axis, and presents a sharp line at a position representing the chemical shift anisotropy, when the symmetry axis is perpendicular to the magnetic field direction. The gamma-encoding transformation is demonstrated by C-13 NMR of ultradrawn polyethylene fibers. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
