Spectral behavior of cis-2',5'-dipyridinylpyrrolidino[3',4': 1,2] [60]fullerene and its coordination complex with zinc porphyrin (ZnTPP)
UV-Vis spectra and ESI-MS studies indicated that an axial coordination supramolecule of cis-2',5'-dipyridinyl-pyrrolidino[3',4': 1,2][60]fullerene (Compound 1) with zinc tetraphenylporphyrin (ZnTPP) was formed. The association constant was determined by Stern-Volmer method (0.94 x 10(4)) and Benesi-Hildebrand equation (1.2 x 10(4)). The fluorescence emission of ZnTPP in cyclohexane is quenched by compound 1, which indicates that there has an energy transfer from ZnTPP to C-60 moiety in the title coordination supramolecule.
