The direct reaction of Se nanorods in aqueous AgNO3 gave Se/Ag2Se core/shell nanocables, which furnished Ag2Se nanotubes when their Se cores were removed with electron beams from a transmission electron microscope. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
