Doubly excited state (2p(2))P-3(e) in LiII

An improved basis set in Hylleraas co-ordinate has been used for estimating highly precise energy value of the doubly excited (2P(2))(3)p(e) state of singly ionized Li. The upper bound energy E 1.79 664 809 97187 a.u. calculated by us is the lowest yet obtained. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
