Monte Carlo simulation of light scattering spectra in atomic gases
The correlation function. of density fluctuations in Argon is calculated by a direct simulation Monte Carlo method. The procedure is validated by comparison with analytical results for the continuum and the collisionless regimes. In the transitional regime deviations from the BGK equation results are found and discussed. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
