Zn-bacteriochlorins or Zn-mesoporphyrins were successfully assembled with light-harvesting (LH)-alpha and -beta polypeptides separately isolated from photosynthetic bacteria in n-octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside (OG) micelle, depending on the structure of Zn-porphyrin derivatives and on temperature.
