4-(9-Anthrylmethylamino)TEMPO radical(1a) and its photo-dimer 1b have been prepared to show ferromagnetic interactions in the fanner radical and the variable spin-spin interactions depending on the solvent molecules incorporated in the crystals in the latter biradical.
