Amperometric detection of endocrine disruptive alkylphenolic compounds based upon the redox recycling on an alkyl chain-coated electrode
A sensitive detection method based upon continuous regeneration of the oxidized form of the ferrocenoyl phenols by reaction with ferrocyanide is proposed for HPLC analyses of endocrine disruptive alkylphenolic compounds. The detection limits were 5.4 x 10(-11) and 9.4 x 10(-11) mol dm(-3) of 4-tert-butylphenol (1) and 4-nonylphenol (7), respectively.
