Continuous production of synthesis gas at ambient temperature from steam reforming of methane with nonthermal plasma
Nonthermal plasma steam reforming of methane was carried out with two different types of reactors such as ferroelectric packed-bed (FPR) and silent discharge (SDR) in a flow reaction system. The yields of hydrogen and carbon monoxide were much higher with FPR than with SDR under the same conditions. FPR could be operated continuously for 10 It without any decrease in the yields of hydrogen and carbon monoxide.
