Probing the locations of Ag+ and hydroxy groups in AgA zeolites by in situ FTIR spectroscopy
Hydroxy groups formed on AgA zeolites upon H-2 (D-2) adsorption exhibited infrared bands at different frequencies depending on the degree of Ag+ exchange. The hydroxy groups formed by H-2 adsorption were found to occur mainly inside the beta-cages of AgA-30, as evidenced by the inaccessibility of CO.
