DNA-photocleaving activities of water-soluble carbohydrate-containing nonionic homooxacalix[3]arene center dot [60]fullerene complex
A new water-soluble carbohydrate-containing "nonionic" homooxacalix[3]arene (2) was synthesized. 2 could solubilize [60]fullerene (C-60) into water and the resultant complex acted as an efficient DNA photocleaving reagent.
