Glutamic acid-mediated synthesis of ultralong hydroxyapatite nanoribbons under hydrothermal conditions
A facile hydrothermal preparation of hydroxyapatite nanoribbons was successfully established by adding glutamic acid as the modulator. The resultant nanoribbons are elongated along [0001] direction with approximate to 70nm in thickness and approximate to 500nm in width. The adsorption of glutamate ions on the crystal surfaces led to the formation of uniform ribbon-like morphology.
