Incorporation of 2'-O-methyl-2-thiouridine into oligoribonucleotides induced stable A-form structure
The conformational pre-organization of oligonucleotides containing two 2'-O-methyl-2-thiouridines (s(2)UM) was studied. Melting temperature (T) and CD spectrum analysis of single strands and duplexes revealed that the s(2)Um incorporation leads to a stable A-form structure.
