Cu2O polyhedral micro/nanocrystals were synthesized in aqueous solution of amphiphilic polyvinylacetone (PVKA) (ketalization degree D-H = 0.549) under ambient conditions (20-23 degrees C), via natural oxidation of copper metal by naturally dissolved oxygen in water.
