Photoluminescence of Eu(DBM)(3)Phen-embedded silica nanospheres synthesized in microemulsion
Eu(DBM)(3)Phen-embedded silica nanospheres were synthesized through a simple water-in-oil (W/O) microemulsion method. TEM observation indicates that the nanospheres are approximate to 40nm in diameter and with a uniform core/shell structure. Compared to Eu(DBM)(3)Phen complex, the nano-hybrid-spheres shows similar emissions of Eu 31 ions under 355-nm excitation. By dynamic analysis at low temperature and laser selective excitation spectra, we found that there are two luminescent centers formed in the nanohybrids.
