INFLUENCE OF POROUS STRUCTURE ON ADSORPTION OF TOLUENE IN AQUEOUS-PHASE FOR SEVERAL ACTIVATED CARBONS
For liquid phase adsorption active carbons basing on different raw materials are used. Porous structure is mainly characterized by internal surface, micropore volume and macro-and mesopore volume. No universal statements about the influence of porous structure on liquid phase adsorption have been reported in literature. Porous structure of several active carbons were determined and influence on equilibrium, kinetics and break through curves of liquid phase adsorption of toluene was investigated.
