Selective ion transport across liquid membranes
Selective transport phenomena of cations across liquid surfactant membranes in W/O/W emulsion systems containing acylated phenyl methyl pyrazolones as carrier substances have been studied. The separation of the components is determined by thermodynamic and kinetic mechanisms. In the presence of water-soluble chelating agents, the permeation sequences are strongly influenced by competitive effects.
