Description of local heat- and mass transfer in turbulent film flow with spin fields
The hydrodynamics in turbulent film flows will be described at present mostly by using empirical quantities. Subject of the analyses shown in this paper is a turbulence modelling using spin balance. Therefore it was necessary to make a special formulation of the induction terms, where the momentum transfer can be described without additional empirical statements. The velocity and spin profiles are physically useful. A suitable consideration of analogy between hydrodynamics and heat transfer make it possible to calculate the local heat-transfer coefficients. The comparison with experimental data of various authors shows a good correspondence in a wide range of physical properties and liquid load. Similar statements can be given for the modelling of mass transfer in the film.
