Ru-III-catalyzed double-conjugate 1,4-addition of indoles to symmetric enones

Double-conjugate 1,4-addition of indoles to dibenzylidenacetones using Ru-III as catalyst is reported. It was found that the system involving Ru... catalyzes formation of two C-C bonds in one pot in good to high yields. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
