Results of a decolourisation study of sugar solutions by adsorption onto anionic resins are presented. Batch experiments were carried out at three temperatures with different resin dosage in order to examine the influence of these variables on colour removal. The kinetic data were found to follow a simple intraparticle diffusion model and the equilibrium results were fitted with three common isotherm expressions. (C) 2002 Elsevier science B.V.
