Radioactive metal isotopes stabilized in a geopolymer matrix: Determination of a leaching extract by a radiotracer method
The stabilization of radioactive metal ions in inorganic polymer matrices of aluminum silicates, also called geopolymers, is demonstrated. The strength of the metal-ion bonds was then tested by leaching in water and sulfuric-acid solutions. The experiments were carried out by the radioactive-tracer method with Eu-152, Cs-134, Co-60, and Fe-59 isotopes.
