Electrical conductivity of polymethyl-3selenophene
In this work, we present the experimental results of the electrical conductivity of electrochemically synthesised polymethyl-3selenophene pellets (reduced and doped). The electrical conductivity, coupled with a measure of the current-voltage characteristics obtained by the Hall effect, permits to get a good general picture concerning the physical behaviour of a semiconductor material. Using Hall effect and electrical conductivity measures, we determined the conduction type of the studied materials as well as the concentration and the mobility of the majority charge carriers at ambient temperature. Our results are in good agreement with those obtained on thin films prepared by using other methods.
