Effect of PbO-B2O3-V2O5 glass on the microwave dielectric properties of (Pb, Ca, La)(Fe, Nb)O-3 ceramics
Effects of PbO-B2O3-V2O5 glass on microwave dielectric properties of (Pb, Ca, La)(Fe, Nb)O-3 (PCLFN) ceramics were investigated as a function of sintering temperature from 950 to 1100 degreesC. Pure PCLFN ceramics sintered at 1150 degreesC showed the dielectric constant (K) of 103, Qf of 5640 GHz and TCF of 7.1 ppm degreesC(-1). The sintering temperature of the specimens with the glass reduced to similar to1050 degreesC without the degradation of microwave dielectric properties. Qf values were not changed drastically with the glass content. For the specimens with 1.0 wt.% glass sintered at 1050 degreesC for 3 h, K, Qf and TCF were 101, 5400 GHz and 5.9 ppm degreesC(-1), respectively. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V All rights reserved.
