Voltammetric behavior of TiO2 films on graphite electrodes prepared by liquid phase deposition
Electroactive TiO2 thin films were prepared on graphite electrodes from the aqueous solution of (NH4)(2)TiF6 and H3BO3 by the process of liquid phase deposition (LPD). By cyclic voltammetry, a cathodic peak assigned to the electroreduction of Ti(IV) species was exhibited in the voltammogram of LPD TiO2 film on graphite electrode in 0.2 M phosphate buffer solution (PBS) at pH 6.0. The dependence of the voltammetric behavior of LPD TiO2 electrode upon the pH value of PBS was observed. The effects of deposition time and concentrations of (NH4)(2)TiF6 and H3BO3 on the voltammetric response of TiO2 electrodes were described. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
