The electrolytic preparation and physical characterization of ZrTiO4 films
An electrolytic method for the preparation of ceramic films is reported. ZrTiO4 films were deposited on a graphite substrate by cathodic electrodeposition process with the aid of a peroxoprecursor. The propel ties of the deposition solution were investigated using colorimetrical method and an NMR technique. Structural investigations of the films were carried out using programmed thermodesorption method in association with interferometric scanning microscopy and an X-ray diffraction technique. These studies provided an explanation for some of the characteristics of thin films. Heat treatment of the films was used to develop crystalline characteristics in the films.
